PM Software Picks earns money when you sign up for certain software through links on this site. This page explains how that works and why it does not change what we write.
How it works
Some links on our reviews and comparisons are affiliate links. If you click one and buy or sign up for the software, the vendor pays us a commission. It costs you nothing extra and does not change your price. These links are marked as sponsored in the page code.
Where we have affiliate relationships
As of the date above, we have affiliate relationships with DoorLoop, Innago, Rentec Direct, Baselane, Hemlane, and Guesty. Where a review or comparison page includes an affiliate link, it says so on that page. We also review many products with no affiliate relationship, including Buildium, AppFolio, TurboTenant, Avail, and Yardi Breeze, and we say that plainly as well. We update this list as it changes.
Why this does not drive our rankings
Which products appear, and in what order, is decided by fit for the reader: portfolio size, budget, features, and what the vendor’s own pages show. We do not rank by commission rate, and we do not accept payment for placement, ratings, or reviews. When a product we recommend pays us nothing, or when a product that does pay us is not the best fit, we say so. If a recommendation ever tracked commission instead of fit, the site would have no reason to exist.
Our own products
Grid and Gradient, the publisher of this site, also sells landlord templates on Etsy. Where a page links to one of them, we label it as our own product.
How we check the facts
We work from vendors’ own pricing and feature pages, date the figures we publish, and correct confirmed errors. You can read more on our About page, and you can report a mistake from our Contact page.
