Plaid is the same secure account-verification service used by major banking apps, and only two platforms reviewed on this site confirm using it specifically, based on each vendor’s own documentation.

DoorLoop confirms Plaid directly on its own site: bank sync lets you connect a bank account, credit card, or debit card through Plaid to pull, categorize, and reconcile transactions automatically, matching them against DoorLoop’s own ledger.

Baselane also confirms Plaid directly, used both to link a landlord’s external bank accounts (from over 11,000 supported institutions) and for tenants to connect their own account for recurring rent payments. Since Baselane is built around banking and bookkeeping specifically, Plaid sync is more central to its whole product than it is to DoorLoop’s broader feature set.

What about the rest of the lineup? RentRedi’s own site doesn’t mention Plaid despite offering expense tracking and bank-linked features, and the mechanism behind it isn’t disclosed. If Plaid specifically, not just bank sync as a general marketing term, is a requirement, confirm it directly with any vendor not listed here before assuming it works the same way.
