PRICING

DoorLoop: Starter $99/month, or $69/month billed annually, for up to 10 units; Pro $189/month, or $149/month billed annually; Premium $239/month, or $209/month billed annually. Pricing scales with unit count.

Rentec Direct: Starter $25/month for up to 10 properties; Pro and PM start at $50/month and scale with unit count. On Pro and PM, one incoming ACH per active property per month is free, then $0.50 each, and screening runs $10 to $18 per report. Figures are from Rentec Direct’s own pricing page, checked October 1, 2026.

WHO EACH ONE IS BUILT FOR

DoorLoop targets landlords and property managers with 10+ units who want an all-in-one platform with strong support, owner portals, custom branding, and an open API for connecting outside tools.

Rentec Direct targets a property manager or landlord who wants straightforward fees and deep accounting, with trust accounting on PM, from a handful of properties up to thousands, over the deepest automation layer.

FEATURE DIFFERENCES WORTH KNOWING

Both include tenant screening, online rent collection, and a tenant portal. DoorLoop’s “Operational Intelligence” layer automates lease renewals and rent reminders on top of the basics. Rentec Direct includes a free professional website builder for marketing listings and QuickBooks integration.

THE ACTUAL DECISION

If you want straightforward fees and deep accounting, with a $25 Starter plan for up to 10 properties and Pro and PM plans that scale with unit count, Rentec Direct is built for that. If you’re in the 10-20 unit range and want deeper automation, branding, and API access, and are willing to pay more for it, DoorLoop’s Pro/Premium tiers fit better. Under about 10 units, look at a free-tier option first, or at Rentec Direct’s $25 Starter plan.
